2014 Pinewood Derby Race

 

The2014 Pack 3 pinewood derby was held on Saturday, March 1 at our usual pack meeting place, the College Hill Presbyterian church. Many of the pack dads worked over time refinishing our old track so we could get yet another year (maybe its last?) out of it. There was a wide variety of cars and styles, and only one was over weight (though quickly adjusted to qualify). In the usual Pack 3 fashion, we followed the race with a great pot luck dinner with enough food to feed us for weeks! Get a load of the great car/cupcakes (see the photo slide show) made by a scout mom for the race.  After a lot of races and eliminations, the top three winners are:

 

Jamison Hopkins -1st place

Zach Heagele -2nd place

Eric Aquino -3rd place

 

The winners can now proceed onto the regional race help in Forks township community center on Saturday, march 29.

 

We are really proud of every scout. They worked incredibly hard to finish their cars and showed good sportsmanship throughout the race.
