EVENTS 2013

On October 19, we participated in the EIGHTH Annual Cub Scout Push mobile Derby at Wind Gap high school.  Over a dozen other packs participated. We help our own considering our tigers and wolves competed in the BEAR level.  I am so proud of this pack, they exemplify the Cub Scout motto: DO YOUR BEST - which
they did.

Once again PACK 3 makes it the Cub Scout steam train railroad trip out to a corn maze.  It was an hour long steam train ride and a harrowing maze that tested the scouts, navigational skills.  We made it out alive and got our patches.

Yep  - cub scout ZOMBIES! We joined the
Easton / Phillipsburg annual Halloween parade and a lot of fun being zombie and throwing our candy. From the PACK meeting where we ripped, painted and burned old cloths for zombie attire to actually marching in the parade and throwing candy to the crowd, we don't know which was more fun.

On the Friday following Thanksgiving, Easton marks the start of the holiday season by lighting what is believed to be the largest non-wax Christmas candle in the United States.
This takes place in the center square of the city. PACK 3 holds their annual hot chocolate / bake sale during this event to raise money for
the pack.

During November, 2013 Pack 3 created a thankful tree. The scouts designed a very expressionistic tree (move over Van Gogh!). tracing their hands on paper and cutting the tracings out, they wrote things there were thankful for and made the hands the ‘leaves’; on the trees.
